Translational Radiochemistry
Compared to diversity of synthetic organic chemistry methods, only limited radiochemical methods are available to introduce PET isotopes, including fluorine-18 (18F, t1/2=109.7 min) and carbon-11 (11C, t1/2=20.3 min). Therefore we strive to develop novel methods to radiolabel important molecules that were previously inaccessible, and hope to establish a general platform (‘radiochemical toolbox’) to promote PET imaging research.
