Each year, the Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO) requires all Emory labs to conduct a laboratory self inspection. The Self-Inspection is a method we use to enable labs to become more familiar with safety requirements. We also want to improve the labs’ ability to proactively address common safety issues. Labs in each research building are required to complete and submit a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) form to EHSO. Once we receive a lab’s CAP Form, we document that the lab has completed their annual self-inspection.
The charts above and below show the overall percentage of labs that have submitted the CAP for Inspection Cycle 2014 and the percentage of labs by department who have completed Lab Self-Inspection.
