On November 7, 2019 the Auscultation Classroom launched on AccessMedicine. This new multimedia resource provides students with the ability to hear an abnormal heart sound while simultaneously watching a graphic of the intracardiac abnormality. The students learn proper auscultation techniques for each murmur. The modules also discuss basics regarding clinical findings associated with the murmurs.
The auscultation classroom launched with an initial 6 modules. Additional modules will be launching in early 2020. The target audience includes medical, NP, and PA students.
The modules are easily accessed by clicking “Auscultation Classroom” on the “Multimedia” dropdown on the AccessMedicine homepage.
