On Thursday, Dr. Ashley Bowen, curator of the National Library of Medicine exhibit on America’s women physicians will discuss the careers of three influential women as highlighted by their publication journeys. These highlights include Dr. Rebecca Crumpler, the first African American woman physician, and her work A Book of Medical Discourses in Two Parts (1883).
