Europe PubMed Central (PMC) has now been freely integrated with Altmetric.com to offer citation-alternative impact measures for over 3 million life sciences and biomedical research articles. The altmetrics summary, shown below, highlights non-citation based impact of each article such as appearance in mainstream media outlets, public policy documents, social media shares, online reference managers, and many more. Europe PMC is free database incorporating titles and abstracts from the U.S based PubMed Central (PMC) and PubMed databases. This Europe based database offers citation counts and impact measures and other literature searching options beyond the scope of PubMed and PMC.
