In this post, I highlight one feature in the Canvas release on Saturday, October 21st. In other news, Instructure just opened the second semi-annual window to vote on product themes in 2023.
Canvas users can create and edit recurring calendar events. Teachers, assistants, and designers can create them for course calendars; any user can create them for their personal calendar. Recurring events have a maximum of 400 occurrences.

Instructure placed 9 Canvas product themes in Open for Voting status on Monday, October 16, 2023. They will remain open until Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Voting on a theme encourages Instructure to prioritize developing related ideas in the first half of 2024. It is probably most meaningful to restrict your upvotes to 2 – 4 themes.
