This month’s highlighted features are found in Canvas Studio and the New Quizzes tool.
The Canvas Studio Release on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 introduced a new browser-based screen capture option. It is currently in beta and is only available in Google Chrome & MS Edge web browsers. The long-standing helper application-based screen capture option is still available. Select Screencast-o-Matic to launch the helper application, which has some features not available in the new Studio Capture option.

The Canvas Release on Saturday, February 17, 2024 includes three updates in New Quizzes.
- When a practice quiz is migrated from Classic Quizzes, the New Quiz zero-point settings are enabled by default.
- The New Quizzes Item Analysis Report answer frequency charts display numbers of correct, incorrect, and no responses for true/false, multiple choice, and multiple answer question types.
- New Quizzes Item Analysis information can be exported as CSV spreadsheets. Note: student analysis spreadsheets showing each answer from each student are currently unavailable in New Quizzes; continue using Classic Quizzes if you need student analysis spreadsheets.
