Dr. Robert O’Reilly, Data Librarian for the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship (ECDS), has compiled a guide for data related to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and COVID-19. The LibGuide includes links to data on different facets of the coronavirus and the disease it causes: cases, deaths, testing, projections, policy responses, public opinion and reactions, economic consequences, and some tools for working with data in different statistical applications (like R, SAS, SPSS, and Stata).

As Dr. O’Reilly writes in the guide’s introduction, the focus is on “data that are directly about the virus and the disease it causes or have been re-framed to focus on some aspect of their effects. It is something of a work in progress in that we hope to update the guide on a regular basis as we encounter additional data about the virus.”
The guide also provides information on Data Support and Contacts at Emory University, how to properly document data sources (Citation and Replication), Tools and Software, and more.
If you have data questions during the remainder of the academic semester, Data Services will be doing consults via e-mail or Zoom. Email address for Dr. O’Reilly: roreill [at] emory [dot] edu
