This position will serve as an epidemiologist responsible for carrying out the full range of complex epidemiological surveillance activities to include providing technical consultation and assistance to Federal, State, local and other health agencies concerning various complex epidemiology projects.

DUTIES:
As an Epidemiologist you will: Conduct and Coordinate Epidemiological Studies. Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on public policies or scientific studies or surveys. Analyze study or project implementation procedures for improvements. Plan and carry out quality control programs and select appropriate epidemiologic methods for use in quality control analysis. Consult on scientific and technical issues. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship is required. Background Investigation may be required. One-year probationary period may be required. Travel, transportation, and moving expenses will be paid.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education (https://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/) at the time degree was obtained.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
