Applications are invited for a full-time Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of cancer epidemiology in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health (DEPH) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a leading research institution with a strong commitment to excellence in research. The DEPH is well recognized for its multi-disciplinary programs in epidemiologic and prevention research and is currently undergoing considerable ex­pansion of its faculty base.

The epidemiologist who occupies this position will be expected to develop an independent program of research in cancer epidemiology, focusing on one or more of the following areas: molecular epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, obesity epidemiology; to participate in the activities of Cancer Epidemiology, Prevention and Control program of the Albert Einstein Cancer Center; and to teach medical and graduate students. The position, which comes with a generous start-up package including 3 years of full salary support plus research funds, will provide opportunities for diverse research experiences in a highly collegial environment with potential for growth.

The successful candidate will have either a PhD in epidemiology or an MD with advanced training in epidemiology, strong verbal and written communication skills, relevant research and teaching experience, and a record of peer-reviewed publications. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
