This webinar, led by Dr. Carlos Del Rio, will share information on the current location of COVID-19, containment efforts, the impact of COVID-19 variants on vaccine effectiveness and the issues that surround vaccine hesitancy. By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify current US and global geographic distribution of COVID-19 and containment efforts
  • Describe the impact that COVID-19 variants have on vaccine effectiveness and efforts to reduce the spread of the disease
  • Summarize the current status of COVID-19 vaccine distribution and uptake
  • Discuss issues around vaccine hesitancy
