You may have read the article “Changing the Narrative of Your Self” which appeared in Emory’s News on October 12, 2022. It’s about Gregory Berns, an Emory professor of psychology, who “earned a PhD in bioengineering, became a physician and then a practicing psychiatrist before changing his focus to computational neuroscience.”
The article discusses several of his books, “The Self Delusion: The New Neuroscience of How We Invent – and Reinvent – Our Identities, Satisfaction: Sensation Seeking, Novelty and the Science of Finding Fulfillment, and Iconoclast: A Neuroscientist Reveals How to Think Differently.” All three of these are available in ebook or audiobook formats in Overdrive.
