Tonia is a PMP-certified project manager in R-WIT and she will be working primarily with the Library development team. Her current project list includes the Slave Voyages project and a range of others.
Before coming to Emory, Tonia worked at Balentine, an investment management firm, as Director of Project Strategy and Implementation. She was also on the faculty at Georgia State University, teaching Film and Media in the Communication Department. She still occasionally teaches.
Born in Atlanta, Tonia received her undergraduate degree in French and Film Studies at the University of Georgia and her Masters and PhD degrees in Communication and Culture at Indiana University.
