The LITS HR department held their Student Graduate Party in the Jones Room of the Woodruff Library this week, honoring the graduating student workers employed throughout the LITS organization. Many of these students are already moving on either to jobs or to the next level in their educational development.
Coordinated by Nydia Charles Huggins, Khadijah Muhammad, Ryan Roberts, and Beanka Tate, the event featured food, an X-Box game station, raffles, a hilarious video compilation of graduation speeches, and stirring tributes from each of the LITS managers/supervisors who had students about to graduate.
Those managers/supervisors included, Sharon Gregory, Linda Richardson, Kathy Britt, Marilyn Pahr, Richard McNeal, Jerrold Brantley, Colin Bragg, Pam Matthews (on behalf of Betty Berry), BeAnka Tate (for herself and on behalf of Christeene Fraser), Tara McCurley and Erin Mooney.
The students also received a certificate of program completion and an Emory portfolio.
Afterwards, the students were able to pose with their managers in a free photo booth.
