Jeselyn is a proud and active mother of two!

Jeselyn will be working on the collection of data from Grady Hospital, specifically for the Center For AIDS Research (CFAR) at Emory and the Diabetes Center at Grady.

Prior to coming to Emory, she worked for a year as a scientific data analyst at the Center for Disease Control (CDC), working in the Behavioral and Clinical Surveillance Branch.

She also spent 7 “glorious” years as an Epidemiologist at the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Metro Nashville Department of Public Health.

In that role, Jeselyn implemented the use of software to automate techniques to match large datasets from sundry databases to assess STD/HIV co-infection and the delivery of partner services.

In addition, she’s facilitated assessments to characterize the impact to data quality and validity in response to changes in ELR (electronic laboratory reporting) capacity and performance metrics.

A self-described country girl from Macon, GA, Jeselyn received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Georgia State University and her Master of Science in Public Health from Meharry Medical College, in Nashville.

Jeselyn is a proud mother of two, so between rehearsals, recitals, and practices, all of her free time is happily spent in the kitchen, on the soccer field, or in the rehearsal hall.

You can reach her at jeselyn [dot] rhodes [at] emory [dot] edu.
