Emory University’s Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) is a place of discovery, where students, faculty, scholars, and other visitors can browse rare books, examine original letters and photographs from manuscript collections, and study the documents and records of groundbreaking organizations.

MARBL Magazine has been recognized with a first place award in the printed Calendars/Newsletters category. This is the second time that the MARBL Magazine has been honored with this award. The specific issue for the current award was in the Spring 2013 issue, which was devoted to poetry at the Emory libraries. Holly Crenshaw (Library External Affairs) works closely the Emory Creative Group and this collaboration results in an excellent publication.

A link to the magazine is here: http://web.library.emory.edu/news-events/marbl-magazine/index.html.

Additionally, last year Development Communications created some marketing material around the Flannery O’Connor acquisition. At Holly Crenshaw’s suggestion, this piece was entered in an American Library Association (ALA) competition in the category of “Fundraising Materials.” We were notified this week that we won an award, which Holly will be receiving on behalf of the Library at the annual conference at the end of June.

You can see the award-winning flyer at: Libraries OConnor.
