James Leonard once played in the World Series of Poker.

James Leonard comes to Emory as the director of the newly formed Customer Services area for LITS. He previously served for four years as the director of support for the Nomi Corporation in Norcross, GA, where he led a specialized global support team for a provider of retail traffic analytics solutions. James also was the founder of Cloverture, LLC in Smyrna, GA, which was a boutique consultancy services organization in the areas of user experience, interface usability, programming, and IT operations.

Born in Atlanta and currently residing in Smyrna, James received his bachelor of science degree in political science from Kennesaw State University and a master of business administration in technology management from Georgia Tech. He is certified in ITIL version 3 foundations and is a Six Sigma green belt.

James is a Georgia Tech sports fan and boxing fan. On the weekends he is a BBQ enthusiast and enjoys running and hiking. James also once played in the World Series of Poker.

“I am very excited to join the Emory LITS organization. In my interactions with the team, it is clear that the group is comprised of very talented individuals,” said James. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of the team, and to help build upon the the group’s ability to provide exemplary customer service.”
