“I wanted to get back to Emory,” said Max Lucas.

Max Lucas is the newest senior applications developer analyst on the PeopleSoft HR Tech Team and is working in support of Emory’s Kronos time and attendance system. Before coming to Emory, he worked for the corporate headquarters of Home Depot, where he spent five years as a systems analyst, supporting some of their advertising systems, like their digital access management system and a page production system.

Max also served a previous two-year stint at Emory as a desktop consultant in the Neurology Department.

A native of Birmingham, AL, Max has two bachelor’s degrees from Auburn University (War Eagle) in psychology and computer science, respectively.

For fun, Max likes to read and spend time rescuing animals, mostly cats. Max volunteers at the Humane Society, where he helps cats get adopted, as well as trapping feral cats to have them spayed or neutered.

“I wanted to get back to Emory,” said Max, “and my new team is really cool, with a terrific work atmosphere.”
