Departments all over LITS held luncheons this week to celebrate another successful year. Perhaps the largest event was held by Emory Libraries, which fed 140 employees and alumni in the Matheson Reading Room in the Candler Library.

The annual event, hosted by the Library Employee Advocacy Forum (LEAF), featured a full luncheon catered by the Highland Bakery and a delectable array of employee-made desserts.

Yolanda Cooper gave a short speech in which she thanked employees for their amazing accomplishments in 2016 and told them to enjoy the break as they prepare for a busy 2017.

Special thanks to the LEAF committee for organizing the event. The current committee is lead by Ryan Nock. Members include: Nidia Banuelos, Lauren Fowler, Dawn Francis-Chewning, Karen Garrabrant, Terence Jefferson, Kelly Kaut, Monique Martinez, Wade Moricle, Elizabeth Peele MumpowerKatie Rawson, Oliver Smith, Laura Starratt, and Jenn Young.

Happy Holidays, everyone!
