Anne Marie McLean is the new music and media library coordinator. As a graduate student at Emory, she earned her master’s degree in theological studies in 2016. She also started working in Emory Libraries as a graduate student supervisor at Woodruff and then was hired as the interlibrary loan and document delivery specialist at Pitts Theology Library from September 2015 to August 2017.

Originally from Charlotte, NC, Anne Marie spent most of her childhood in Madison, VA, which is north of Charlottesville. She attended Emory and Henry College in Emory, VA, where she earned a dual bachelor’s degree in religion and political science. She is finishing up her master’s degree of library and information science online from the University of Alabama.

Anne Marie’s passion is working for a non-profit called the International Qur’anic Studies Association, which advocates for the field of Qur’anic studies in higher education and in public life. When she relaxes at home she plays the piano and takes adult ballet classes.

“It has been great working in Music and Media because of the amazing people. They are a perfect team who really know and love what they do,” says Anne Marie. “I am also excited about how this work allows me to revisit my music background.”
