Lisa Hamlett was recently promoted into the Core Systems Team under Library Technology and Digital Strategies after spending seven years as the supervisor for data and quality management on the Stacks Team in Woodruff Library. In that role, she coordinated physical item transfers between the General Libraries on-site and off-site collections, managed quality control processes for the Stacks Team, and did analytics for multiple departments within the Emory libraries.
Before her stacks work, Lisa spent over two years as a collections manager for MARBL. She also worked in the stacks as an undergraduate at Emory.
Raised in Crossville, TN, Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Emory. She also minored in German Studies.
Lisa is very outdoorsy and enjoys hiking and camping in her free time. “Being from rural Tennessee, the city stresses me out sometimes and I like to get away to the mountains whenever I can,” says Lisa.
“A lot of this work I was already doing,” says Lisa regarding her new role, “but this position gives me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and skills as well as to discover new challenges. It’s nice to have the opportunity to do something more.”
