Ferdousi celebrated for 30 years of service to Emory

Mahbuba Ferdousi (L) is congratulated by Dean Hicks.

At the recently held Oxford College of Emory University 2018 Staff Awards Picnic, Oxford Dean Douglas Hicks gave special recognition to Mahbuba Ferdousi for her 30 years of service to both the Oxford and Atlanta campuses of Emory.

Ferdousi is the Associate Dean and Chief Information Officer of Oxford College Information Technology (OCIT). She began at Emory University Information Technology in 1988, where for almost 20 years, she held several leadership roles, including the IT Technical Lead/Manager in charge of the Enterprise resource planning (ERP) PeopleSoft Infrastructure Team, the Oracle Database Administrators’ Team and the Web System Team. Mahbuba came to Oxford in August 2006.

During the ceremony, Dean Hicks said, “Mahbuba is compassionate, sincere, and enthusiastic.” He also added that Oxford IT has flourished under her leadership.

“I feel truly blessed,” said Ferdousi.

Having worked with Mahbuba since she has been in Oxford, I’ve found her to be dependable, competent, and thoughtful. We join Dean Hicks in thanks for her continued leadership.
