Neda Zeraatkar (pronounced NEH-deh zeh-rah-AHT-car) is the new Middle East & Islamic studies librarian in the Woodruff Library. She comes to Emory after spending the past seven years as a librarian for the Regional Information Center for Science and Technology in Iran.
Born and raised in Shiraz, Iran, Neda earned her bachelor’s degree in library and information science from Payeme-Noor University and her master’s degree in library and information science from The Islamic Azad University – Science and Research branch. She also has an associate’s degree in applied computer skills from the Industrial Management Institute.
“I am so happy that I have an opportunity to work at Emory,” said Neda. “It gives me the chance to have many new experiences in the Middle East and Islamic Studies Department.”
