“Terence Jefferson has made me feel comfortable and teaches us the importance of putting safety first at all times.” – Jerome Tillery

Jerome Tillery recently joined Woodruff Library’s Operations and Access Team. Before coming to the library, Jerome worked for three years as an access security officer for Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital. He also spent over six year as an officer in the DeKalb County Police Department. Jerome says that his desire to do outreach in the community led to his career in law enforcement.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Jerome earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Fort Valley State University.

Jerome’s hobbies include writing music and poetry, describing himself as versatile in his ability to write prose across several genres.

“It feels good to transition from law enforcement to being an operations specialist,” says Jerome. “Terence Jefferson has made me feel comfortable and teaches us the importance of putting safety first at all times.”
