“I love the University and its purpose.” – Gordon Torrance

Torrance Gordon is a new senior network engineer on the Network Monitoring and Tools team. Prior to his Emory work, Torrance spent five years as a chief automations engineer at HP|DXC Technology. He also spent three years as a network applications engineer at SunTrust Bank. Torrance also previously worked at Emory as an operating systems analyst in the Technical Operations Center in LITS (back when it was NetCom).

Originally from Selma, AL, Torrance earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Alabama at Huntsville and an MBA from Emory.

Torrance and his wife LaShanda love mountain biking and playing with their four kids (a fifteen-year-old and five-year-old triplets). “Having triplets is a whirlwind!” says Torrance.

“Coming back to LITS is a little deja vu and a lot of new change,” says Torrance. “I am just excited they had space for me to return. I love the University and its purpose.”
