Brad Watson, Software Engineer, Digital Library Project, Library Technology and Digital Strategies

“The new tools I’m using are piquing my curiosity and I’m picking up new tricks as I reach the two-month mark here.” – Brad Watson

Brad Watson is a software engineer who has joined the Library Technology and Digital Strategies (LTDS) team to work on the Digital Library Project. He previously spent a year as a software support engineer at BioIQ and six months as a software engineer at Designzillas.

Raised in Cherry Hill, NJ, Brad earned an associate degree of computer information technology from Valencia College. He also holds a certificate in full stack web development from the Flatiron School.

Brad is an avid cinema buff who makes a point to see any horror movie that is ever mentioned. He collects original movie posters and film scores on vinyl. He and his wife Allison are foodies, ambitious travelers, and catch plays, musicals and concerts when they come into town. He also follows most Philadelphia sports teams, and accumulates more silver hair when the Flyers have a particularly bad season.

“My teammates are especially kind and supportive, and the work is both challenging and rewarding,” says Brad “The new tools I’m using are piquing my curiosity and I’m picking up new tricks as I reach the two-month mark here.”
