Phase 4: Execution

The execution phase of a digital humanities project brings its own challenges: work must be efficiently and appropriately distributed, and even the most careful planning cannot prevent every potential hiccough.  Constructing a detailed work plan can solve many issues, but be sure to think through what your procedures and options might be in the event of a problem with personnel or resources.

Finally, as work gets underway, don’t forget to publicize your results!  Making connections to others in the field of digital humanities can generate additional funding, collaborators, and excitement.  Build your publicity campaign into your work plan to ensure that project milestones are shared with news outlets and scholarly communities.
