Phase 1: Proposal

The first stage of any digital humanities project consists of crafting a proposal, whether formal or informal, to showcase the project’s potential and to attract the support and resources necessary to tackle it.  During this phase, you will isolate the question or problem that motivates the project, as well as explain how you would like to resolve it.

Familiarity with digital humanities projects and their products will help you articulate and refine your project’s core issue or question, while constructing the proposal will introduce more practical concerns and concrete considerations.
