Meet the Team: Sarah Knight

Associate Director of Education Abroad

As the Associate Director of Education Abroad, Sarah helps lead the study abroad advising team, contributes to the office’s strategic planning initiatives, and manages the Emory in Salamanca and EDUCO Paris/Sciences Po semester study abroad programs. She also advises for several Emory summer study abroad programs.

Sarah graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Biology and earned an M.S. in College Student Personnel from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Sarah’s interest in international higher education began with her undergraduate study abroad experience in Venice, Italy, and she has since worked or interned in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Ecuador.

Sarah has worked in the field of international education for more than 10 years and is an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Prior to joining Emory in 2019, Sarah worked as an international student advisor and residence life area coordinator at Allegheny College; as a study abroad advisor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; and as an Assistant Director with the N.U.in Program (first-year student study abroad program) at Northeastern University.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, kayaking, and, of course, traveling!
