The Eiffel Tower: fun and foundational

By Ally Grubman

This is a picture taken of me at the Eiffel Tower (in the rain) the other day. The Eiffel Tower, as many people know, has the names of many different scientists displayed on it. Specifically, Marie François Xavier Bichat is one of these. In terms of this class, Bichat introduced the concept of the sympathetic chain of ganglions having a nervous system, which is independent of the central nervous system. This directly relates to the foundation of what we have learned throughout our NBB career and what we are currently learning in our class.
