Get a Fulton County Public Library card (or renew) on Sept. 20 and Sept. 28!

Ever since Emory became part of the city of Atlanta, all Emory University students, faculty and staff* are eligible to get a Fulton County Library System (FCLS) card. And we are making it easy for you to do that right here on campus by partnering with FCLS.

Get your card at the Pop-up Public Library Card Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 20, and Thursday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Robert W. Woodruff Library front lobby. Vikki Walters, Librarian Principal with FCLS, and additional FCLS staff will be handing out cards on the spot and renewing expired cards.

All you need to do is bring your Emory ID and fill out an application (fill it out in advance if you like). It takes about a minute. You can also apply online.

Of course, you already have access to an amazing array of resources through the Emory Libraries, but getting a Fulton County Public Library System card just expands those options. Here’s some of what you’ll have access to:

If you can’t make the Pop-Up Public Library Card Drive on Sept. 20 and 28, don’t fret. You can always take your Emory ID to one of the FCLS branch libraries and get your card there. We hope to see you for Library Card Sign Up Month!

*Note: Emory Healthcare employees who are also University employees are eligible for a card too.
