Please join us for “History of Emblem Books,” the third program in the “Bound with History: Encounters with the Rose Library’s Collections” series on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Rose’s Teaching and Learning Studio (10th Floor). This event features Walter Melion, Asa Griggs Candler Professor of Art History at Emory, and Kelin Michael, a PhD art history student at Emory.
Dr. Melion will talk about the development and history of emblem books, and Kelin Michael will speak about Alciato’s emblems. Relevant items from the Rose Library’s collection will be available for viewing after the talks.
