In this post, I highlight features from the Canvas release on Saturday, August 19th.
- Teachers & other graders will see the new Apply Filters button in the gradebook. Click that button to select various filters (including some new types) or to save a combination of filters for reuse. Read more in Instructure’s guide to using enhanced gradebook filters. Note: options from the View dropdown menu move to a new View Options tab in the Gradebook Settings tray (click the wheel icon at the top right to open).
Update (8/8): we have enabled the enhanced gradebook filters feature option in official Fall 2023 courses in anticipation of the feature being enabled in all courses. -
When editing a course link, teachers and other content editors will see the name of the current link and may replace which course content the existing link points to.
- Teachers and other course editors importing content from a previous course have the option to convert Classic Quizzes to New Quizzes as long as they enable the New Quizzes feature option prior to importing content.
