Category : News/Events

The results are in! The baseline evaluation for the Tipping Point Initiative, focusing on child, early and forced marriage (CEFM) in Nepal and Bangladesh, is completed. Join our research partners, Dr. Kathryn Yount and Dr. Cari Jo Clark from Emory University and Dr. Ruchira Naved from icddr,b share findings from Bangladesh (icddr,b) and Nepal (Emory University).

They will share the RCT study design, methodology and findings from data collected to assess the root causes of child marriage in selected districts. Underlying factors perpetuating child marriage will be discussed with a specific focus on the prevailing social norms that allow the practice to continue. Dr. Sadhvi Kalra from CARE USA will share a consolidated reflection about what these findings tell us.

Please join us for this webinar on Monday, January 27 at 7:15AM Atlanta. The webinar will be presented in English, but the executive summary and social norms findings brief from this study will be available in Spanish, French, and Arabic in March. See you there!
