Chronic Disease Prevention Program Manager, Fulton County Board of Health

The Fulton County Board of Health (FCBOH) provides a variety of services that help protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes, and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives. The FCBOH serves nearly one million citizens who reside in Fulton County. The health centers include state-of-the-art clinics to serve our clients along with an Office of Vital Records located in the Fulton County Government Center.

Position Description:

Provides assistance to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the delivery of health services. Provides assistance to develop and implement related policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates healthcare programs. Directs subordinate managers and staff.

– Responsible for a portfolio of projects which facilitate healthy lifestyles for Fulton County residents, with a focus on healthy eating, active living, tobacco cessation/control, worksite wellness, and diabetes and heart disease prevention/control.

-Lead a wide range of strategic healthy policy and planning activities related to chronic disease prevention and control efforts, with particular emphasis on policies and environmental change initiatives.

-Develop and maintain critical partnerships and advocacy with the community by engaging organizations, church and civil groups, advocates, and health organizations to prioritize chronic disease prevention initiatives

-Manage and implement all requirements of program funders such as progress reports, work plans, and budgets.

-Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets.

-Provide lead direction to chronic disease prevention staff and interns.

-Develop and monitor contracts, of understanding, and other partnership agreements.
