Description
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Participation in the development of systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines, which includes management of expert panels, collaboration with the ADA library in conducting search strategies, citation management, critical appraisal of clinical studies, data abstraction, data analysis, writing and submission of manuscripts, and collaboration informing dissemination strategies.
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience in/with investigating and analyzing scientific studies and preparing scientific manuscripts, in particular, systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines.
Previous experience critically appraising clinical studies; and analyzing articles published in peer-reviewed dental and medical journals.
Must have the ability to contribute to evidence synthesis projects and clinical practice guideline documents, develop and maintain professional internal and external relationships, coordinate and pursue multiple projects and deadlines, independently and simultaneously; and critically analyze and evaluate data to draw sound conclusions, decisions, and recommendations.
Must have excellent communication and project management skills.
Must have knowledge of evidence synthesis methods, with a strong background in statistics.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Proficient in EndNote (or similar reference software)
Highly Desirable Skills: Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics or another of the health or life sciences that includes training in experimental design and statistics.
Knowledge of statistical packages (e.g. SPSS).
Previous experience in conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
