Senior Research Data Specialist, Access Community Health Network

This position is responsible for organizing data collection processes, managing databases, and reporting on metrics for assigned research and evaluation initiatives at ACCESS. The Senior Data Specialist participates in planning, data analysis and program and performance monitoring and improvement activities.


What You Will Do

  • Develop, populate and maintain databases containing patient data using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SPSS/SAS or other software, as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyze data, interpret results, provide written summaries and present findings to nontechnical audiences
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data management procedures including workflows, codebooks, etc.
  • Create performance reports for use in grant reporting and management
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data files by conduction data validation, data cleaning and de-duplication

 What You Will Need to be Successful
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in program evaluation, clinical research or healthcare
  • Excellent data management and quantitative/analytic skills and demonstrated experience working with large datasets and healthcare data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • A minimum of two years working experience with SPSS or SAS
  • Experience working with electronic health records (especially Epic) and database applications such as CAREWare, SPARS and REDCap
