The California Department of Public Health is hiring a Research Scientist III (RS III) within the Surveillance and Analytics Unit at the Substance and Addiction Prevention Branch. The RS III leads the development and implementation of novel substances and emerging contaminants surveillance. The RS III uses epidemiological research methods to evaluate data sources, collect data, develop research indicators and tools, conduct ongoing surveillance, conduct analyses, develop visualizations, and write up reports, data briefs, and manuscripts for dissemination to diverse audiences.
