At its core, public health is about understanding and preventing diseases. Hence, disease processes are central to the public health mission. This course will provide the foundations needed to understand the biology of disease processes from a public health perspective. The course covers a range of infectious and chronic diseases. Fundamentals of Pathophysiology for Public Health is designed to be widely-accessible to MPH and Ph.D. students with only a fundamental knowledge of human biology.
This course is an approved elective for the Genetic and Molecular Epidemiology certificate.
This course will be held on Thursdays from 1PM-2:50 this fall.
