Since 2007, the Epi Scholars Program has provided rigorous training in applied epidemiology to stellar graduate and professional epidemiology and biostatistics students at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH).  

On behalf of the HRTP and Epi Scholars team, We would like to cordially your students to learn about internship opportunities at the NYC Health Department through the Epi Scholars Program.
Graduate epidemiology and biostatistics students, career service and development representatives, advisors, professors, and all who wish to learn more about the program are welcome to attend. 

About the Epi Scholars Program: 

The Epi Scholars program is a full-time, paid, 10 – 12 week summer internship program for top graduate epidemiology and biostatistics students at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Scholars receive supplemental training from senior researchers including training in theory, methods, and public health practice to enhance their understanding of the root causes of disease.  

The Epi Scholars program is accepting applications for the Summer 2024 session from January 15 – February 15, 2024.

During the information sessions, representatives of the Epi Scholars Program will provide an overview of the program, program requirements and eligibility, how to apply, the application review and selection process, what students can expect as an Epi Scholar, and more.
