Bloomberg imposes monthly data download limits on each of its terminals; these limits are tied to individual terminals, not student usernames/passwords.
If Bloomberg terminal users exceed Bloomberg’s limit, for the remainder of that month, no one will be able to use the Excel Add-On functions on that terminal. Access will reset the 1st of the next month.
The monthly limits are controlled and strictly enforced by Bloomberg staff, and they will not reset the limit under any circumstances; the business librarians have no ability to reset it either.
This handout contains very useful information about Bloomberg functions that you can use to create custom sets, while reducing data usage; this will make it less likely that you will hit the monthly Bloomberg data download limits.
