Dana goes the extra mile (ok, miles)

Dana Kuebler (UTS) was one of those good samaritans you have probably heard about during the madness that was rush hour last Tuesday. She doesn’t do these things for accolades or recognition – this is just who she is.

When the university closed last week at 1:00 p.m., in her usual fashion, Dana cheerfully (and I do mean CHEERFULLY) offered to drop PMO folks off at their cars. After she dropped Felicia Bianchi (UTS) off at her car a couple miles away, then dropped Ceray Doss-Williams (UTS) off at her car which was parked at North DeKalb Mall, Dana went about making multiple trips back and forth to campus throughout the evening to assist stranded motorists. Driving an all-wheel-drive Subaru Forrester, Dana taxied strangers into the night, from the North Decatur Building to the CDC and everywhere in between. She did not get home until after midnight.

We think that what she did was awesome, especially since so many Atlantans had nightmarish experiences. Maybe she was able to prevent a few nightmares that evening. “I complained of my 2 and 1/2 hour commute Tuesday afternoon, but soon realized I was one of the lucky ones,” said Ceray, “Thanks in part to Dana.”
