Aaron Fioca is an avid reader and proud daddy.

Aaron Fioca begins his Emory work on the Transit application, which will be used to help hemophilia patients learn more about dealing with their condition.

Before being hired by University IT Services and Research (UIT), Aaron worked for 18 months as a software engineer at IBM.

Prior to working at IBM, Aaron worked for a Seattle based start-up called Zapd, which featured an iPhone app that let customers create instant, themed websites on their iPhones. Aaron developed over a dozen themes and used responsive design to ensure that the site was viewable and functional across any platform.

A native of Conyers, GA, and graduate of Salem HS, Aaron is currently working on an information technology degree from Georgia Southern University.

The proud father of a fifteen-month-old girl named Elizabeth Rose, Aaron and his wife Mackenzie spend their free time raising Lizzie. Aaron loves reading, especially fantasy novels such as the Game of Thrones and the Mistborn trilogy. The family also loves gaming.

“The opportunity to work for Emory University was something I just could not pass up,” said Aaron. “As a software engineer I work hard to understand my users’ needs, and to provide a simple and elegant user experience.”
