The Goizueta Business Library (GBL) hosted a “wine-down” event for members of its graduate school following the first week of classes. This event is an annual Goizueta tradition of unwinding after the first week is completely over.
Members of the GBL staff waited for students outside of the classrooms when their last Friday class finished, then led them to the GBL for the social event. Wine and soft drinks were provided, as well as cheese and other light snacks.
The students were given a brief presentation in the Jones Room by Brian Mitchell, associate dean and director of full-time MBA programs. Ann Cullen was the lead organizer of this event, along with the GBL team.
“It was a nice end to the week,” said student Don Lambing. Over 100 students attended. Launched in partnership with the FTMBA Program Office, the event was the brain child of Mitchell.
Said Saira Raza, GBL librarian, “It was a great opportunity to introduce students to the library and allow them to meet one another.”
“Before we started doing these four years ago, we’d hear the MBAs tell us they don’t really know where the Library is,” said Ann. “Now they know.”
