Lauren Fowler will be providing support for electronic theses and dissertations and working to deposit faculty articles into OpenEmory. Before coming to Emory, Lauren spent two years as an electronic resources and serials management librarian at Caldwell University in Caldwell, NJ. She also was a library intern at Duke University Libraries.
Originally from the small town of Lebanon, near Cincinnati, OH, Lauren got her bachelor’s degree in English and anthropology from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s in anthropology at the University of Pittsburgh, and a master’s in library science at North Carolina Central University.
Lauren enjoys running, finished her first marathon in November. She’s an avid reader and she enjoys hiking with her husband Ken and their toddler, who is about to turn two.
“I am excited to be joining the Scholarly Communications Office,” said Lauren, “and working with them to promote OpenAccess.”
