Wayne Ortman practices Japanese martial arts.

Wayne Ortman has been hired to direct the network services area for Enterprise, Services, and Infrastructure. Before coming to Emory, Wayne spent over 16 years at AT&T in a wide variety of roles, most recently as the area manager for sales operation support for AT&T Entertainment Group and the associated director for the tools and technology project management office for AT&T Home Solutions.

A native of Lynn, MA, Wayne also spent time growing up in BolingBrook, IL, and Statesville, NC. He holds a bachelor science in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in telecommunication management from DeVry University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.

Wayne practices Japanese martial arts, specifically an art known as Shinkendo, which he has studied since 2003. He holds the student rank of Hyakue and the instructor’s rank of Shidoin. Wayne is also an avid reader and enjoys science fiction and fantasy.
