“It was an awesome experience starting off as an intern but now as an employee I’m enjoying my time here at Emory.” – Folè Gailor

Folè Gailor (pronounced FOH-lay) is a new computing support specialist in the Client Services department. Before joining Emory, he was a part of the YearUp program. YearUp trains urban young adults, from the ages of 18 to 24, in necessary skills for an IT or business management career.  Following a six-month IT training program, he interned at Emory in July 2015.

Born in Baltimore, Folè grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Forest Park High School. He went on to study mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech.

Folè’s parents are from Liberia and moved to Baltimore, MD, to escape the civil war in that country. Years later, Folè’s father moved the family to Atlanta to help start a branch of the international Bethel World Outreach Ministries. Folè was 2 at the time and has lived in Atlanta ever since.

Folè enjoys reading manga and watching anime. Some of his favorite series include One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Fairy Tail and The Seven Deadly Sins. He is a Baltimore Ravens football fanatic and loves mixed martial arts and running.

“It was an awesome experience starting off as an intern,” said Folè, “but now as an employee I’m enjoying my time here at Emory.”
