Ben Kasavan is a new technical support specialist in Student Digital Life. He was hired after serving as a student employee technology specialist in the TechLab. Ben previously spent time as an explainer in the New York Hall of Science.
A native of Queens in New York City, Ben earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Emory. He also minored in philosophy.
When he’s not working, Ben is very involved in the cycling community in Atlanta. He regularly joins a group ride called “critical mass” where a few hundred bicyclists ride for about 10 miles, starting from Woodruff Park. Ben also enjoys cooking, especially baking. Brownie cookies are his specialty.
“I’ve only been here a month but its been great so far,” says Ben. “I like my coworkers and working in the Maker Space is wonderful.”
