Sam Tasanasanta (pronounced TA-son-na-son-ta) is the new manager of the PMO. He has been a consultant/project manager/program manager at various firms since 2009 (see below):

  • Cricket/AT&T: consultant program release train engineer/manager (RTE)
  • IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group): consultant program manager
  • The Home Depot SSC (Store Support Center): consultant project/product management
  • Coca-Cola Refreshment (CCR) HR IT: consultant program manager
  • Macy’s Systems and Technology (MST): consultant program manager
  • Hilton Hotels Worldwide: consulted as the director of PMO (Program Management Office)
  • Equifax: PMO director

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Sam was raised in Seattle, WA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Washington State University and carries his PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Not surprisingly, Sam’s hobbies are now home-based: Exercise, walking/hiking his one-year-old bernedoodle named Luna and finding interesting programs on Netflix and Prime. He has a wife named Allyce and two college-age children, Julia and David. Luna is very happy that they are all at home now.

“This job is very interesting and challenging, and my teammates and stakeholders are fantastic,” says Sam. “It is definitely a different mindset to onboard during this unique remote situation we are all in. I am still waiting to pick up my laptop, EmoryCard, parking pass, etc.!”
