Kim Copenhaver, Director, Access Services

Kim Copenhaver is the new director of access services for Emory Libraries. Prior to her Emory arrival, Kim spent ten years at Eckerd College, where she was an associate professor, access services librarian and behavioral sciences liaison.

Born and raised in Gainesville, FL as a 5th generation Floridian, Kim earned a bachelor of science degree in hospitality administration from Florida State University and her master library and information science degree from the University of South Florida. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Association of College & Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association.

Kim has a husband and three children, a Labrador retriever and a rescue cat. She enjoys spending time with family, organic gardening, cooking and watching college sports with friends. “I’m a sports fan. Growing up in Gainesville, college sports is infused into the culture of the community and hard to escape!”
